College Admissions Essay Topics To Avoid
College Admissions Essay Topics To Avoid Quickly recognizing the differences in my two children we met with Laurie to see if she could help with this highly subjective yet critically important part of the college application. She and my son quickly created a rapport from which she could help him put the necessary skills, traits and experiences on paper and do so in a cogent and impactful way. Thanks to Laurie for all of the time, interest, follow-up and sometimes necessary nagging she shared with my son. Mrs. Brandow was a fantastic mentor through the very stressful and demanding college application as well as decision process. As a student who remained undecided until May, I could not have asked for better guidance from someone who knows the ins and outs of the entire process and presents options in a timely and intelligent manner. I am thankful for her patience with me and grateful for her assistance and perseverance in reaching my goal of acceptance into the school of my dreams. Laurie Brandow has been critical during my college search. Laurie provided me with an opportunity to have someone help me figure out what I wanted to write about in my college essay, and then help me with the process of writing the essay. My college essay was the most important essay I have ever written, and without Laurie's help I would still be writing it today. This being my second child I thought I could do as I did with my first and help him with the essay writing portion of the application process. I had Jen Kaifesh as my college counselor, and it truly was the best decision I have ever made! She helped me form my list of colleges, edit the applications, and connected me with great tutors for the ACT and subject tests. I hired Laurie not as an admissions novice, but as a high school student knowledgeable about the college process. Despite having done my own research prior, I have learned ten-fold under Laurie's professional guidance. I have been accepted to my dream school and the number one liberal arts school in the nation (not the same!), and I owe a great portion of my success to Collegiate Blueprint. Making an investment in Laurie Brandow's expertise and services has drastically changed my present and future in many ways, and stands as one of the best decisions I have made thus far in my life. Great Expectations provided invaluable assistance with test preparation, essays, the common application, UC applications and other application hurdles. Throughout the otherwise daunting process, founder Jen Kaifesh and other tutors at Great Expectations have been consistently well-informed, thoughtful, patient and tactful. If you find yourself overwhelmed with standardized testing and the college application process before itâs even started, you are not alone. Thousands of families have turned to Great Expectations to manage the process, from the first standardized test to the last college essay. Our family found Collegiate Blueprint to be an extremely helpful source of information and assistance beginning our daughter's sophomore year and extending through her senior year. It was great to have someone else push the college essay writing process along! They were always willing to answer questions that arose and guide us in the right direction. Taking into consideration our daughter's personality and goals, They gave sound advice on a range of colleges to which she should apply. We are extremely satisfied and grateful Great Expectations customers. We have used its services for several years, including to advise and assist our son with applications to high school and college. Over the next few months, Laurie presented us with a list of 20 schools, guided Kelsey through the application process and deadlines, gave her advice on writing her essays and kept her organized and motivated. But most importantly she was a constant support system for Kelsey as well as myself. Jen's spirit and passion for helping students is unparalleled. She provided support and motivation and she really truly cares about the students that she works with. Thanks to her, I got the ACT score that I wanted and am going to be attending my dream school next year.
